piano duets

Ever Play Duets On The Piano?

I Have.

It's An Exhilarating Experince Let Me Tell  Ya.

My sister and I had this duet book of Beethoven's Fifth transcribed
for piano - duets.   Talk about fun.  We would sit there for hours and
pound that big old dark brown upright until Beethoven would roll over
sit up and yell Enough already.

So one day last year I meet a guy who claims he once played duets with
my Sister.  I haven't seen him since - but just in case I bought a couple of
duet books - one of which is a transcription of Mozart's Eine kleine nacht
music.  : ]

Just in case.

You know what would really be fun?

Playing duets written for TWO PIANOS.

I've seen it happen.

who knows - maybe someday....

I wonder if there's a duet trasnscription of the Rach 3?    : ]

P.S.  I said a prayer for ya Z - I hope you are ok.

  2. Hi cs - The problem there is that who has two pianos in there House.

There are only two times - that I can remember where I heard Duets on Two Pianos:

The first time was at here at IU at a Concert given by Ferrante & Teicher - anyone remember them?

The second time was equally as Professional and
Over the Top since it was at Performance by
Ed and Janet Kaiser (Ed was my Piano Teacher at Bradley University :) He was a Great Teacher !)
    Dashingly Handsome too.

So Christian Soldier - how good are you on the Piano?

    jus' wonderin'
